Cask Details

I received this miniature at a family wedding and have held of opening for over a year but thought a good time to crack it open recently.

A well-known brand with some great bottles so was really looking forward to this. Currently retailing about £90 a bottle I would say for the age and bottle is pretty good value.

Nose

Pouring the dram into the glass you can smell the wood coming through. A real potent smell that wakes you up ready for what this dram has to offer.

To the nose I get Maple Syrup and butter, reminds me of American Pancakes smothered in both.

Taste

On top of the smell the taste is great, get a lot of ginger at first which goes to the finish with some of those buttery notes almost tasting like Crème Brulee.

Finish

Lovely long finish as you would expect with a dram like this.
